We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join our Clients’ Children and Young People Service. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement the needs of children and their families, ensuring that children in need, those requiring protection, and those looked after have service plans tailored to their specific needs. This position involves working collaboratively with various agencies to deliver comprehensive care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the needs of children and families, and develop and implement care plans that meet their unique needs, following relevant legislation.
- Ensure that Children in Need, Children in Need of Protection, and Children Looked After have service plans that reflect their identified needs, utilising resources from both Social Services and other agencies.
- Manage a caseload that may include children and families with complex needs, requiring multi-agency coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic client records in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Work towards maximising life chances for Children in Need and Children Looked After by implementing effective service plans.
- Contribute to team goals and targets, particularly in areas of Child Protection, Children Looked After, and Care Leavers.
- Engage in the training of staff, particularly in Child Protection and Children Looked After, to ensure high standards of practice.
