Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive social work services to children and families, fulfilling the council’s statutory duties under relevant legislation and policies.
- Operate within local government guidelines, utilising group and independent resources effectively to deliver high-quality services.
- Contribute to the duty team rota, managing contacts, referrals, Section 47 inquiries, and child and family assessments with professionalism and care.
- Ensure timely and effective progression of cases, safeguarding the welfare of the most vulnerable children while applying the latest research to your practice.
- Undertake care proceedings and represent the Local Authority in court. Extensive experience in court settings is essential for this role.
