Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Children in Need team. As a Senior Practitioner, you'll enhance the quality of social work practice, focusing on children, young people, and families.

In this role, you will be pivotal in elevating the quality of professional social work practice within our clients organisation, focusing on children, young people, and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to handle complex casework that arises within the children and families service, ensuring that our services are aligned with legislative requirements and established best practices.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Your duties will encompass a broad range of responsibilities aimed at delivering high-quality social work services including:

  • Managing allocated cases, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Collaborate with service users and teams for effective case working.
  • Collect performance data and contribute to training and development activities.

A key aspect of your role will involve ensuring the effectiveness of our case working processes through a collaborative and 'joined-up' approach. You will actively promote and encourage effective partnership working with service users, as well as with other teams, agencies, and organisations involved in supporting children, young people, and families.

Continuous professional development is essential in this role, and you will be expected to participate actively in training and development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Additionally, you will represent the department in various meetings and events, contributing your expertise and insights to relevant discussions.
