We are seeking a dedicated Senior Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding and Children in Care pod. This role involves both statutory and preventative services, focusing on assessing and planning for children in need, those under protection plans, and children in the care of the Local Authority. Working within the framework of relevant legislation and guidance, including 'Working Together' and 'The Framework for the Assessment of Children and their Families', the successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of professional practice.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people, considering their race, culture, religion, and linguistic background.
- Manage an allocated caseload, adhering to casework objectives, statutory requirements, and departmental policies.
- Undertake direct social work responsibilities, including investigating concerns, assessing risks, and deciding on appropriate courses of action.
- Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings and support workers throughout the court process.
- Provide casework consultation to team members, including supervision of students, trainees, and less experienced professionals, to ensure consistent high standards of practice.
