Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-level change consultancy to senior managers, providing expert advice on change management, organisational design, and aligning with the Council’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee and manage complex people-related change matters, including structural changes and procedural adjustments, ensuring clarity on implications.
  • Maintain an overview of issues and risks within the change programme, seeking resolutions and implementing agreed actions.
  • Support colleagues and management teams in diagnosing challenges and designing high-quality solutions that address key business priorities.
  • Manage networks of change agents, addressing their needs, producing reports, and keeping stakeholders informed through various communication channels.
  • Prepare detailed reports for court proceedings and manage consultations, including face-to-face engagements and internal communications.
  • Establish mechanisms for reviewing the success of change initiatives, capturing lessons learned, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Conduct assessments to ensure that policies and services do not discriminate, aligning with the Council’s commitment to equality.
