šŸ“ Location: Hillingdon
šŸ•’ Hours: 3 days per week (21.6 hours)
šŸ’· Rate: POC (Inside IR35, via Umbrella)

The Social Recruitment Company is currently recruiting for a highly experienced and qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join the Adult Mental Health Hub in Hillingdon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about protecting vulnerable adults and driving best practice within mental health services.

šŸ” About the Role:

As an AMHP, you will:

  • Undertake Mental Health Act assessments on behalf of the local authority

  • Coordinate and manage complex cases involving multiple stakeholders

  • Provide expert advice, consultation, and professional supervision to colleagues

  • Lead safeguarding interventions, service planning, and mental health assessments under statutory frameworks

  • Work independently within the bounds of MHA 1983/2007, Care Act 2014, and MCA 2005

  • Engage in strategic practice development, workforce mentoring, and service improvement initiatives

āœ… Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

  • Warranted AMHP with extensive Mental Health Act assessment experience

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act, MCA, MHA, DOLS

  • Confidence leading professional meetings, producing court reports, and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Practice Educator and/or BIA qualification desirable

  • Must be available for rota and out-of-hours where necessary

  • Full UK driving licence required
