Key responsibilities
- Assess the physical, developmental, and emotional needs of children within the family and environmental context.
- Evaluate the need for additional support for disadvantaged families and those requiring safeguarding, ensuring explicit documentation of the analysis and decision-making process.
- Offer and evaluate the Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home Visiting (MECSH) to eligible families.
- Innovate and implement targeted services to reduce health inequalities.
- Access safeguarding supervision, clinical supervision, and management supervision as per organisational policy.
- Manage, analyse, and communicate health and performance data and contribute to audits and evaluation of service delivery.
Responsibilities extend to maintaining caseloads for children under specific plans, ensuring confidentiality and consent rights, and reporting clinical information to superiors. The role includes fostering problem-solving skills and positive relationships, implementing infection control procedures, and conducting public health promotion activities. Effective communication skills are crucial, considering cultural, ethnic, developmental, and environmental factors when engaging with children and families.
